Yes, this list contains some pretty reputable Heavyweights, but the order in which they are listed is quite questionable. The most obvious, and most debatable is Ali behind Tyson?!? O.K. Tyson was perhaps the greatest Heavyweight in his prime, but if they fought, Rope-A-Dope notwithstanding, Tyson probably wouldn't lay a hand on Ali!! I don't know what Ali this is...must be the 1982 Ali

Joe Louis defended his heavyweight title a record 25 times. He fought a string of fighters on a monthly basis and his victims became to be known as "the bum of the month club."

However, one cannot forget that Louis KO'd James J. Braddock (after getting up off the canvas) to win the title, he beat Max Baer, Max Schmelling, Jersey Joe Walcott. Joe Louis was very effective as an older champion and challenger. He did lose to Marciano, but was still competitive even in that fight at an advanced age.

Joe Louis was a credit to his race, the human race and was a credit to the sport of boxing. He is regarded by many to be the greatest heavyweight champion of all time or at the very worst a close 2nd behind Muhammad Ali.

His career ring record was 68-3 with 54 KO's. He was a true champion in and out of the ring.

What's with Lennox Lewis being on everyones top 5 or 10. The guy is way overrated. A young Tyson would've knocked out Lewis within 2 rounds.

            Louis
            Ali

You can argue all you want about the top ten but I believe there is no arguing about the top 3 except for maybe the order they go in.

                1)ALI
                2)LOUIS
3)JOHNSON (Im amazed how so many have him down on the list)

In my mind these three are set, you can argue from here on out who should fall behind these gentleman.

                  hmm

I've always felt that George Foreman is really the best heavyweight ever. It would be a fallacy to put him at number one with his loss to Ali, but, in my opinion, 9 times outta 10 Foreman would beat Ali. Foreman is the reason Ali is so ****ed up now I believe, and also part of Holyfield's current problems (along with Bowe).

If Foreman had the brain in the 70's that he did in the 90's, Ali would have never been able to "KO" a gassed George.

Foreman is the reason Ali is ****ed up in your opinion?

HAve you ever watched Ali fight a guy name Joe Frazier? They fought three times, right? I heard the third fight was brutal was it? Could that have had anything to do with Ali's condition in your opinion?

Have you ever heard of Parkinson's? Did George Foreman beat that disease into Ali's brain?

Saying that you think George Foreman caused Ali's problems is like saying you have pinpointed the chick who gave MAgic aids, you cant do it because you have no clue.

As for George's brain your right, he could have been a lot better if he would have fought with patience and been more resourceful with those clubs of his.
