So you have spoken to the legendary Frank WArren?

If so what kind of person is he. And when you say you have spoken to Kevin Mitchell that must mean that you were ringside, correct? Do you get some sort of journalist pass to get ringside and talk to these people or not?

ive spoken to frank a few times. but im more known to the maloneys. ugene is a diamond, very funny man as is frank thinkin g about it , but Eugene is hilarious.

FW he has always been very affable and pleasant....lets put it this way its not alweays the promters fault that fights fall through, though many blame warren anyway, sometimes its warranted and sometimes not, thats boxing....at the end of the day Frank is a fan with fan excellent business brain, there arent too many of his top tier fighters who dont retire very rich men, so i think its all too easy to blame the promoter when things go wrong.

Yes the site you are writing for will apply for press credentials with your name listed, along with the site / publicaton you represent, very similar to being ona guest list at a club if you will.

assuming all is ok and they have no issues with you or the site, the creds are granted and given to you when enter the arena / building whatever. If you have the time tou also can attned weigh in's or press confs announcing fights.

You sit ringside, usually behind the photographers which can be apain if they dont keep their heads down but close enough to be on tv.

I met Giardello & LaMotta on the same night.
Giardello's kid had a few pro fights (he wasn't really good), & I went to his debut. LaMotta was there to support the Giardellos.
I was 13 years old....& I got Jake to sign the back of my ticket stub. Damn cool.

I met Barkley across the street from MSG this past October (for Trinidad-Mayorga). I was there with another of this forum's posters, LuKhanLi. We stood & talked to Iran for a good half-hour He had a lot of LNICE things to say about Bob Arum...he-he.

I met most of the Philadelphia fighters at various gyms, fight cards, etc. I met David Reid when he had a public workout for his fight with Simon Brown.

NICE one its amazing how affable the fighters can be out of the ring id approached right.

not on the same level but i met Wayne Alexander (top light middle in brtiain) in apub not so long ago, left him about 2 hrs later after laughing heartily for those hours..

Yeah Couchy was a Jones nut-hugger because she had her photo taken with him, she fought on the Jones-Griffin II undercard and afterwards she met Jones and all that ****. The photo was up at the Empire, Jones had a baseball cap on backwards and a bottle of energy drink in his hand with a cheeky little smile. I agree with most of what Couchy was saying there apart from the Jones bit, she only nut-hugged Jones because she met him.
