LOL WUT does that have to do with anything? Your just outing yourself now. And I'm being nice. I doubt King wanted to make that fight anyways, so HBO paying less wouldn't had solved anything. And I guess you couldn't respond rationally to my post, so you just started typing nonsense.

Berto is a joke. Ever since Collazo gave him hell, he fights chumps.

I belive that Berto should be targeting fights with the likes of Cotto, Mosley at 147lbs, although he has already had his chance to fight shane n he declined
He's been paper champion far too long to continue this charade.

          Either shit or gtfo.

I got Cotto, Jones, Mosley all murdering Berto.

He said he will move up for Cotto but I'm not sure he would for anyone else. I would like a Saul Alverez fight too.

He sent Collazo into exile in Siberia. Too bad, as I'd like to see a rematch.

Jones ain't s###. Just a big body, and if that's all you care about, then Hernandez isn't that bad of a opponent. Cotto and Mosley are great fights, but Cotto won't give Berto the time of day, and maybe he should had just took 40 percent against Mosley, but considering Shane can't drawn on his own, was off a loss, and didn't have a title on the line, I could see him sticking with 50. And he was the only major welter who wanted to fight Shane in 09. Hopefully that fight can happen after Hernandez.

yes he did but they didn't have enough money to make it cause they used it all up on the berto bum patrol. your doubts don't mean diddly squat when it comes to reality. i'd rather see an actual good fight than a berto mismatch but i don't run hbo. maybe they have become emotionally attached to him because they've watched him grow for most of his boxing career. now they don't want to see him get hurt so they keep babying him.

This fight is an undercard tune up. As in not a headliner. And he's returning from rehabing his left bicep. This fight is actually better than his mando, who I hope someone will KO soon. So calm down a bit. Afterwards, Berto will probably have better fight options then he does now, but he may as will stay busy against a solid but not great guy like Hernandez. HBO looks to get a return on investment sometime, so a big fight is there to be made with Berto, there going to make it. And judging by how Kotelnik recently did vs a southpaw, I honestly think that Ortiz's peeps weren't that unhappy about the fight dying.

so why is he making 1.25 million dollars? i don't think i've ever seen that type of money for an undercard tune up. that drains the hbo budget and is a slap in the face to everyone else who is making a fraction of that fighting real competition. berto is making an easy living by coasting against easy opponents and you keep defending him. if he wants to fight hernandez i say go for it but he should not be paid like it's a great fight. he's using and abusing hbo. he must have naked pictures of the executives.
