What they should have done was give a Ward a bye and let him fight the winner of Froch vs. Abraham.

I mean Ward is 2-0 and Froch and Abraham are both 1-1. So who ever gets that second win gets to fight Ward at the finals.

It's just simple math. It's a lot easier than having Johnson join the tournament.

It's not Showtime's fault the tournament fell apart, but keeping Green and adding Johnson is just pointless. And they still have only 5 fighters at this point. Just cut Green and Johnson loose.

I doubt at this age going down in weight will benefit boxer. As you get older you go up in weight. Johnson would make some noise at CW or HW if he goes up with a good conditioning coach. But losing 7lbs? Bad idea.

        I agree with the bold.

They should just end this charade instead of adding to the fallout.

Abraham is a one-dimensional Clottey like fighter with a low work rate. If Johnson stood up to his power he'll beat him. Froch is a better fighter than what a lotta people give him credit for. But he's still beatable. I guess I'm not considering the scenario of where he'll have to fight these guys in hostile territory on top of all the other circumstances though. So maybe Johnson won't go that far. But he'll cause headaches. Believe that.

He trotted that excuse out immediately like he rehearsed it for weeks.
I did, but Green who claims he was drained (fighters like to use the draining issue as an excuse for a defeat) and Johnson who claims its not a problem to go down in weight (of course its not a problem to kill himself for making some money and fighting the lighter fighters) are not the best choices for replacing one of the Super 6-caliber fighters.

            tbh its very interesting

Abraham is a pure pressure fighter who is very ring smart and in opposition to Clottey Abe got the killer-instinct to finish the job.

He might be able to outwork Abraham, not sure what Glen's chin would be like at 168.

Ward would beat the crap out of him.

Froch would be a war, again it would depend on how Glen's chin an stamina is at 168.
