I'm just not sure anymore with Mosley. Granted, Mora will make anyone look bad, but this Alvarez kid, though IMO still a bit green, I believe he can give Mosley some fits. Mosley's overall instincts and speed have declined, but obviously power is the last thing that leaves a fighter.
I don't think they'll put him in there yet though, meaning Alvarez. -
All a product of hype. Canelo's managers should make this fight after matching him with a prime welter. Maybe Quintana or Collazo. Mosley will show to be a bad pick for the kid and maybe a carrier ending fight for the talented kid.Comment

i on the other hand am pretty sure about mosley. alvarez runs him into punches all night and puts him an inch away from retirement.
some of ya'll are holding onto the image of mosley for too long. dude cant even think on his feet and his stamina/work rate is gone.
alvarez is a better BOXER than shane at this point and he's got legit power to boot.
if there's anyone who shouldnt want this fight, its mosley. if he wants to continue with this career he should stick to unskilled brawlers.Comment

i got alavarez, mosley is washed up PERIOD. he couldnt hurt or outbox a skeleton sergio mora and got a gift decision draw in the worst ppv main event ever. gbp is a disgrace to boxing fans for that one.Comment

Next spring? That would still be too soon, but it's just talk really and I wouldn't read much into it. Even if GBP are planning for that fight, plans in boxing often get changed.
The smart thing to do is to give him 9-12 months fighting the same level of opposition that he's facing at the moment, then see where he's at and how he's doing. GBP do not have a good record with prospects and shouldn't rush someone so young.Comment
