Even Sulaiman being lebanese, he's more Mexican than Benavidez.

At least ODLH knew more about our culture and spoke our language very well and presented himself decently.
You did not read the whole thing. Spanish is Spain's language. Not ours. Are Central and South Americans actually Mexicans because they speak spanish?

While I think all of them have an OK head on their shoulders and have something to give to the sport, I think it will be a while till we have another reining Mexican fighting king.

They never gradually appear on the U.S. scene like these fighters are doing. In reality Mexican prospects are usually ignored and no one knows about them until one bursts into the scene as a legitimate threat.

It is going to be a while till someone carries Morales' crown. Just like it was a while till someone carried Chavez' crown.

It'll be a really long while where we get 3 guys as good as Mab, JMM and Morales all in the same generation.

How can anyone view Chavez Jr. as a prospect still? Maybe a really late bloomer, but this guy has been here too long.

Saul Alvarez is the best fighter out of those listed and is by far the best prospect in Mexican boxing.

How is he better than Mares when he hasn't fought anybody nearly HALF as good as Perez is?

its close. from a physical talent perspective, saul is better in that aspect. its his talent combined with his instincts and skill level that give him the higher ceiling.
this thread is about prospects. when i think of "prospects" i think of potential.
as far as pure skills and versatility, mares is better.
id say at this point in time, mares is better.

benavidez has a higher ceiling than them all IMO.
