Knew it sounded too good to be true. GBP still trying to baby Ortiz. Funny how Shaefer says Kotelnik lost to Alexander but says Kotelniks win over Maidana was "controversial"

It's one fight I didnt want to watch,Kotelnok needs to reestablish himself moreover he's a light puncher. It's unfair to fight someone off a loss even if it was a robbery

Kotelnik's win over Maidana wasn't controversial.

Controversial is when there's, y'know, controversy. People use that word far too often when talking about boxing. Less than 50% of people scoring a fight in favour of the loser doesn't make the decision 'controversial'.

If they can't agree on money then fair enough, but they shouldn't try and downplay Kotelnik's record because it's almost certainly better than that of whatever gimme opponent is going to face Ortiz instead.

Ortiz's loss to Maidana wasn't even that bad. But here we are a year and a half later and he is still doesn't seem to be back to where he was beforehand, either in terms of performances or quality of opposition.

Mabuza would be a good opponent though.
Murray not so much, from what we heard from British fans...
