I don't hate Pavlik the way a lot of people do, he's more a tough fighter than he is technical.

If I'm top rank I put Pavlik in with nothing but Brawlers and keep him in entertaining fights. Win or lose the fans will keep wanting to watch him.

It's not like they are not out there.
There's no excuse for not thinking.
He hired a nutritionist, that's why he decided to stay at middleweight at the last second.

Because he's an ATG boxer, and this is a boxing forum, not a society for the promotion of morals. Boxing is a violent sport, so it's no surprise that some of its best practitioners have been violent people. If you can't handle that, you're following the wrong sport. Maybe you should follow tiddlywinks instead.

that's what i'm thinking as well. the lifestyle you live outside of the ring has just as much to do with your performance inside of it. just ask fatass ricky hatton haha. cutting 30lbs during camp? i know it's not unheard of but cmon, that takes a toll on your body. he was doing good until he got the cuts, but he said it himself, he hit a wall. every fighter kills themselves during training camp, but if you're wasting most of the time trying to cut weight, then you're not gona be prepared. i think pavlik is done at middleweight. the guy is a big 6'2, he should move to supermiddle or even light heavyweight. there's plenty of big money fights in those divisions, and i think he has a fair shot at beating a lot of those guys.

hell yah. those would be good fights. why not test the waters at supermiddle against andrade, abraham, and froch (after the super 6). i think those fights would make great brawls.
