People still believe that the punch caused this "illness?"

The punch barely landed and it didnt even DAZE him, if it hurt him like he said he wouldve been stunned for a second or gone limp. He was fully aware and he wanted the coward way out of a fight.

Besides studies have shown that alcoholics suffer less damage than others in a car accident because Alcohol makes your body relaxed so being more relaxed = taking less damage.

Well guess what, he was relaxed when that shot landed and it didnt even phase him, he had no emotion to it. If it was real power he wouldve been stunned for a couple seconds. Ive been knocked out and I've also been hit in the head hard enough to where I saw stars above my head and was stunned. Guess what if you really get stunned YOU DONT ACT THE WAY HE ACTED, IT WAS ALL A SHOW.

Look at people getting knocked out when they were limp and look at their reactions.

He might of gotten hit to the head too much and his injuries caught up to him but it wasnt because of A.A. Direll is just a COWARD.

I bet all my e-points that after Ward signs a fight that Direll will make a MAGICAL full recovery! Thank da LAWD HALELUJA!

I hate to say someone is faking when i have no proof and i could possibly be wrong but if im going to be honest i just dont buy it. I thought he was acting after the Abraham punch and i think he is acting now. I could very well be wrong but thats just my opinion.

I just keep asking myself 'is this for real?'

He did take a couple of big bombs in that 11th round and looked really uncomfortable before the DQ. The punch that AA threw when Dirrell was on the deck looked harmless and then the delayed reaction followed by spasms on the floor looked totally disproportionate. My first reaction was, he acted his way out of a very uncomfortable 11th and 12th round.

I'm no doctor, but I have been knocked unconscious briefly. I didn't have any spasms or memory loss like Dirrell - but I was forced to spend a whole night in hospital under observation (which means they wake you up every 30 mins all through the night) I also had a CT scan. Dirrell left that hospital after a few hours after a far more severe concussion and was seen laughing and joking with his brother.

Now this brain damage before the Ward fight. I just don't buy it.

Exactly, I've been hit in my head so hard that I saw stars and was wobbly and theres no way you can do what he did. Its not a persons natural reaction after getting KO to put his hands to his face and complain to the ref. The punch barely touched him and hes a worldclass boxer who can take punches, that slap did NOTHING to him. He was just a coward looking for a cheap win. Dude didnt even get STUNNED. Look at all the other videos where people get caught with punches they didnt see coming and they all blank out and cant focus for 5 seconds, but this guy started complaining immediatly to the ref. I hate to say it but I think he set this whole thing up.

This is just so he doesnt have to fight Ward, the fight shouldve happened already and they were all saying "yea we gonna fight, we aint scurred" well I guess they found a way out without looking like cowards.

I've passed out and my head fell right onto a 45 pound dumbbell. Where's my concussion at? That Calzaghe slap is suppose to have ruined Dirrell Completely? Not buying it, also the doctors still don't know why Dirrell was having seizures when he was supposedly brutally KO'd. And the doctors let Dirrell out of the hospital with in a few hours, he didn't even stay over night!

A study in the journal American Surgeon finds that trauma victims who were inebriated at the time of their injury have higher survival rates than their sober counterparts. Rachel Kremen reports

[The following is an exact transcript of this podcast.]

Being drunk might make you more accident prone, but it also increases your chance of survival. Research published in the journal American Surgeon reveals that trauma patients are more likely to survive if they were intoxicated at the time of their injury.

A retrospective study of nearly 8,000 trauma patients found that seven percent of people who came in sober died of their injuries, while those who were hurt while drunk only died one percent of the time. A positive blood alcohol level seemed to increase the likelihood of survival, even after the researchers took into account the age of the patient and the severity of the injury. Trauma patients who came in to the hospital drunk were discharged sooner, too.

No ****, that guy's posts are almost as insane as the ones I got say that Muhammad Ali, Ron Lyle, and Ken Norton all said that Earnie Shavers was the hardest puncher they ever faced not because it was true, but out of respect for Earnie because he is such a nice guy...And That Evander Holyfield said Foreman hit him the hardest not because George hit him the hardest, but out of respect for what a great guy George was >.< Yeah because Mike Tyson hits SOOOOOOoooOO much harder than George Foreman eh? Calling all time great boxers liars and saying that "Well since they didn't get hit clean to the body by either fighter, they are in no better place to judge than any of us!"....Holy ****, half this board has downs
