I did read it closely, it's the quoted statement I'm disagreeing with. The reason he looked in trouble so often was because his balance was ridiculously poor, it always made him look like he was about to go down. Manny Steward has talked about it, his poor balance cost him several rounds against MAB because of how awkward he looked after taking shots. The Kevin Kelley and Augie Sanchez knockdowns were solely down to poor balance. His chin wasn't tested in those fights, so the statement is off the mark.Comment

Anyone with a clue knows that Barerra's prime as a prizefighter (ie. the best version of him) came after the Junior Jones fights. He became a far better boxer, better defence, better pretty much everything. The fights with Jones made Barrera, they didn't signpost the end of his prime AT ALL.Comment

But hey he wasn't the same right since he lost twice, Hamed never lost but you pathetic brits use the "didn't train right" excuse after he finally fought a real P4P elite fighter and got COMPLETELY schooled. Like Barrera was hameds daddy holding his hand taking him to class.Comment

And, yes, Hamed with his head screwed on and focused on boxing has a great shot at beating any of the Featherweight Fab Four.Comment

This makes no sense. Barrera's Greatness is defined after he fought Jones.
Anybody who knows his career knows how he gradually unravelled in terms of focus and discipline. It took an ATG to expose that. Even then, Hamed won rounds, made sure Barrera felt his punch and was never close to being stopped.Comment
