I wish Direll the best, but he has worked himself into a corner on this one. If his Dr. say he's good to fight and he doesn't jump right back into the tourney or fight Ward then he's going to be looked at as a *****, regardless of how serious his condition might have been. I hope his career isn't over, he looked great for most of the AA fight.
So & then there were 3(i'm not counting Green).

Honestly there is nothing much you can do for someone who is concussed. It's not like there is medicine for it.
Keeping them overnight for observation is a possibility but it's really only done in cases where there are no friends and family who are available to do it themselves.
Usually if you are in a city big enough to host a fight you are never more than 5-10 minutes away from a hospital, so there is really no danger in releasing someone to go home with their family when they can easily be returned to the hospital should something come up.
I can think of at least a half dozen different cases when I played football in HS and college where somebody suffered a concussion and never spent 1 minute in a hospital or doctor's office.
I'm talking about people who were so concussed they were vomiting and telling stories from 10 years ago like they happened yesterday.Comment
