Beez721, your right sort of anyway. I should never have said it was an easy pick. Holyfield was a great fighter and won many tough fights that I didn't believe he could win and he had a true warriors spirit. I dont think Holyfield was that far past his prime in 1999 but he had had a couple rough fights around then. But I also dont agree that the fights with Lewis were very close. Lewis seemed to just coast to an easy victory. Not very exciting but it was his way. And lastly Holyfield did fight Bowe in his prime and had a lot of trouble with a big skilled fighter. Add that to the fact that Lewis was clearly better than Bowe and I come up with a convoluted reason why Lewis was the best of the two. I do admit it should be a close call though. A pick-um fight. Tyson still doesn't belong on the same list though and for him to be winning this poll says a lot about the voters.

Beat him again in a rematch, eventually became Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion. Then went to heavyweight, defeated James Quick Tillis, Pinklon Thomas, Michael Dokes, all be KO in his first 3 fights at heavyweight. Became undisputed Heavyweight Champion in 1990 from defeating buster Douglas by KO 3. Defeated George Foreman by descison, etc. If you look at his record he fought nothing but Championship Caliber opposition from his 12 pro fight onward. He never lost to anybody except the highest quality of opposition before he got old. Lewis lost to McCall who was good figher, and Rahman who is not so goood a fighter in my mind and he struggled with alot of Less than elite level fighters like Frank Bruno, Shannon Briggs, Ray Mercer, and others. He beat Holyfield and Tyson, but that does not mean a whole lot to me because just look at the records of Tyson and Holyfield post Lewis.

what you mean a 42 yearold foreman and a 40 something Holmes, you cant mean because he beat Ruiz one time out of 3? Bowe? a guy thats only claim to fame is beating Holyfield 2 times out of 3! or is it because Holyfield went 1-1 with Moorer? Bean,Czyz,BertCooper?
Yes he faced more big names than the other two guys but he got beat by more names too.
