Am sure the fight would happen soon, I dont really know the deal between Bute and Pascal but Bute fighting Brinkley (Mandatory? LOL) isnt doing him any good.

Bute is not looking to fight the best. He's looking to maximize his bankaccount and so be it.

That must be the only explanation why else fight Danny Green? It seems an odd match-up. And why make this fight already before Bute has clobbered clubfighter Brinkley?

From a fightfan perspective Bute should have pursued one of the supersix outcasts instead of Danny Green.

Personally, I would love to see Bute vs Pascal sometime in the future but if it were to happen, I would prefer Bute take a couple tune-ups at 175 before taking on the best.

I'm not even sure if Green has even been confirmed.

It was just thrown out there as a possible option.

But in your initial argument your trying to justify Bute not fighting Pascal because of the rematch clause, now your saying hes not obligated to fight the best 175 pounder?

I think we need more Roberto Duran's in this era

No, I was clearly stating the reality, that a Pascal fight being made is not a logical option from her on in.

Green is not even a guaranteed opponent, his name was just thrown out there.

Bute and his promoters not opting to move up in weight and fight the best 175 pounder, vacate their 168 title and risk a potential mega-fight with the Super 6 winner is not a "duck" move.

You guys have stretched the meaning of the work "duck" and seem to think it applies to every possible case in which a fight between 2 stars cannot be made.

Pascal didn't even look all that great in his dominate win over Dawson, because Dawson exposed him kind of that he is very hitable with that uppercut and even stunned him with it really bad. And as I said earlier, Bute balloons up like crazy, fight night he is the same weight as Pascal. I forget the exact weights but I think I remember Pascal being like 190 something against Dawson fight night and Bute being 190 against Miranda fight night.

It's really idiotic for team Bute to not fight Pascal, when BHOP once again took the best opportunity and is going to whoop the crap out of Pascal. The foolish Canadians even made BHOP the underdog as if they think Pascals speed will be the deciding factor to beating BHOP. Pascal ain't beating BHOP, Pascal will beating uppercuts all night long.

I didn't say Bute was ducking Pascal, and I think fighting Green is a much riskier option, doubt it will happen though.

Pascal looked great vs Dawson. Nobody expected him to look as good as he did. Bute has had a few fights above 168 and fighting at 175 is not out of the question. The question is should he fight Pascal immediately and should he vacate his 168 and blow a chance to fight the Super 6 winner? His promoters have probably weighed the risk/reward ratio and thought it wasn't the best option.

The fight with green would probably be at 175 or crusierweight, So that makes it a tune up, Moreover Pascal himself only just moved to 175.

This fight shouldnt be difficult to make and they both would make loads of monies from the fight.
