I believe mesher had it right:
"Don't get it twisted people!
Remember we're rating his chin in the welterweight division.
Consider this:
Margarito took Mosley's constant bombs for 9 rounds before he finally got shook and crumbled.
Mayweather took two bombs from Mosely and was shook by the first and almost went down after the second!
I'd say his chin at the lighter weights was above average but at welterweight his chin is not that great compared to other true welterweights."
-----------------
At lighter weights, where the punching wasn't as hard, he (when he actually got tagged) took it real well.
When whacked by Mosley he was stunned, he composed himself well, and recovered quickly. But he looked shaky for a bit. I myself thought, "oh oh" for a bit.
He got tagged by DLH a couple of times and took it with stride, and Marquez even touched him a couple of times.
He has an average chin, the fact that he dominates fighters is no testament to his chin because he truly doesn't get hit that flush that often. If he does, it's a one-off thing. Seldom, if ever, by a combination.
Until he's fully tested by having been tagged a few times, we truly won't know. As such, I have to go the middle ground and say "average".
Not iron, as we haven't seen it tested yet as I've described. And not below average, as we haven't seen it tested yet as I've described.Comment

Somewhere between above average and iron. He hasn't taken enough punches for him to be put in the latter but he's got a solid beard. In the eighth round against Corrales he took one hell of a left hook and laughed it off.Comment

This what I mean, B. We have to look at Floyd's entire career when judging his chin, since he rarely gets hit. He's handled it fine each time he's been hit by all the other ****ers. Floyd made a mistake, and Mosley timed him perfectly. These cats just want to be negative and use one incident.
My vote would be above average.Comment
