Arum Avoiding Williams For Manny

Once again......Manny just fought at 130 two years ago. He is moving up and getting more comfortable at WW. Why do people expect him to fight MW's already?
With that said, a little over a year ago.....Arum said there is no way in hell that he would make Manny vs Margarito, because Margarito is too big (despite Manny saying he wanted the fight). Before that Arum thought Cotto and guys like Clottey were too big as well.
The thing is Manny is slowly proving himself more and more and Arum hit the nail on the head when he said, "Lets see how he does against Margarito first".
This was the same stance he had after the Hatton fight...then after the Cotto fight and so on and so on.Comment

If Manny easily beats the huge, aggressive Margarito then Williams will be more feasible.Comment

Ya in the fight Manny Pacquiao can only hit around Paul Williams chest just a small bit above the belt line..... Great fight.
Being honest, Paul Williams is no longer impressive to me. Ever since he fought Martinez, he seems to continue on the decline. I'd say Kermit Cintron was winning the fight until he jump off the ropes.Comment

I agree (except with the Marquez part
). Pacquiao-Williams will be for Pac's 147 crown.

I've said the same ... Manny's team will see how he does against Margo then decide what to do next as far as fighting bigger guys (or not).... plus they always have that expectation to fight Floyd if that opportunity presents itself.Comment

Cintron only "schooled" him for 3 and a half rounds though. That really means nothing. Nothing at all.
In 3 and a half rounds Judah would be a HOF'er,
In 3 and a half rounds Floyd would have a couple losses,
In 3 and a half rounds Cotto schooled Margarito.
3 and a half rounds is not a whole fight. So 3 and a half rounds prove absolutely nothing.
Then look at the Quintana rematch. Plus both Quintana and Cintron are signifacantly bigger than Pac. Sooner or later size will play an issue. Even though P-Will don't fight tall as in range and uses the jab. He fights in your range he is still around 6'4. Unless he bends all the way down to 5'6 I see him with his size, wingspan, and workrate giving Pac hell. I honestly think he beats Pac.
There is no more excuses for that fight not happening.Comment

The thing with Pac is that I do believe he loves the challenge and to test his limits. And I do believe that he really does like to give fans a good show. Pac has nothing to lose really but alot to gain - respect. I really wouldn't be surprised if Pac fights Williams, Pac loves a war. Paul could be a great retirement fight for Pac if the Floyd fight doesn't fall through. Win or lose against Paul, as long as Pac performs like a warrior, you won't help but give the guy mad props.Cintron only "schooled" him for 3 and a half rounds though. That really means nothing.
