If he holds a title at 130, then I am sure people wouldn't mind going to Japan to take it away, specially since I get the feeling if he won the WBC title, many would see him as the weakest title holder. Particularly Arum would be quick to send Juanma to Japan or lure Hozumi to the states for the "take the easiest belt to gain more buzz" route.
Well, since you started your first post with "since Hasegawa is a fw now" I thought you were trying to pass him off as a legitimate guy in the mix. If all he cares about is making ez bucks fighting bums in Japan, I guess that's cool too.

He represented Japan ok until he stepped up.

10 consecutive title defenses against guys ranked no lower than #5, 7 defenses ended by t/ko, 5 of those being t/ko's not seeing the 5th round. Not to mention a winning streak spanning a decade. If that isn't great then nothing is.

Also, he moved to featherweight because he can't take cutting the weight to bantam anymore. Not to mention his first fight at fw isn't a tune up, it's a title fight off the bat.

Hozumi is already legitimate. He has nothing to prove. For him it's either quit or move up. So he moved up to suit his body's needs.

This ain't no co feature material, this is headliner main event type fight.can't wait for the winner to match up against the BW winner as well.it's basically a super 6 tourney with just the other 4 are vying to get a chance at the top 2 seeds at BW.

Donaire v Montiel this will be a good headliner. I give Donaire a slight edge, remember he's the #4 P4P@ Ring Magazine. As long as the fight doesn't happen in Mexico, Nonito is bound to win.

The phillipines last hope at a new star other than Manny is getting knocked the **** out by the Mexican star that is Fernando 'KO-Chulito' Montiel. Can't wait for this one. Maybe it should be for the new "World Bantamweight Platinum Championship".

I'd have to say he represented Japan just fine in that fight as well, considering that he fought 4 rounds with a fucked up jaw and was up on points.

I like DONAIRE he's a lil FLOYD imho but MONTIEL has the experience and the explosiveness, boxing skill wise im leaning towards DONAIRE. If DONAIRE will win it will be liked MOSLEY vs FLOYD power just don't tantamount to BOXING skills.
