Why Donaire is in the top ten right now is baffling. Heck, Montiel deserves to be there over him. Still, I'm leaning toward Nonito taking this one. I'd like to see him do well - I smell potential star.

Based on skill maybe? Beating his opponents easy? Makes it look almost effortless. I also don't think he should be top 10 based on resume, but the Montiel fight may change that.

One paper this appears to be the best fight at BW......In reality Donaire vs Mares or Donaire vs Perez are the best fights at bantamweight.

With that said...this fight makes the most sense, will still be great, and is a fight I'm interested in seeing next year.

Yeah, Mikkel Kessler made it look easy too. Of course your skill looks great when you're fighting no-hopers. In essence, he doesn't deserve to be there. A win over Montiel would do it though.

Montiel-Donaire is the biggest fight that can be made south of the featherweight division. Its a borderline superfight. Who gives a **** about a so-called tournament that matching a division's second tier fighters.

You got it.. Hope this fight gets signed and the winner fights the winner of the tourney.. At the very least 1 of the 2 fights happening would be something.

This would be a great fight. Donaire will be replaced at the p4p list, he shouldn't be there in the first place. This will be a tough fight for both fighters.

Take a look at this post... It's the same **** idiots would've said if Kessler would've stayed out of the Super Six and chose to fight Pavlik (before Martinez) or Bute. We saw what happened to him against a "green" Andre Ward.

Any of the 4 "second tier fighters" could turn out to be Montiel or Donaire's Andre Ward, but we have logic like this being flung around. The "second tier" Abner Mares will own whoever comes out the winner of this fight (if they actually fight and it's not another bait and switch ****).
