WBA cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (37-3, 29KOs) returned last weekend in Panama for his first fight in two years. He stunned the odds by stopping a very durable Valery Brudov in eleven rounds at the Arena Robert Duran. Jones wants the next move of his career to come against WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (24-1, 22KOs) of England.

Jones has his next fight planned for 2012 just after the olympics have finished.

Guillermo looked good considering his 2 yr layoff and all the illnesses and drugs in his life. He has good skills and a killer jab, but his personal life have always been a mess.
Haye is full of sheat, but He is crispier at this time. I would expect Haye winning the D, but I wouldnt' be surprise if Guillermo wins and gets robbed.. the story of his life.

Jones was out of shape for the Brudov fight, and was lucky he got the stoppage because he gassed and Valery was coming on in the 10th and 11th rounds.

Guillermo would have no chance against Haye at this stage in his career, nor against Huck at cruiserweight either.

And since he fights every two years, he'll be age 40 when we see him again in 2012.

I think the Middleweights will be calling out Haye soon as they see he is such a pusshole coward who wont fight anyone but BUMS.

I would hate to see these two fight cause i like them both!
But would be a big fight no doubt! Jones is very underated!
In the fight against brudov he wasnt ecen 100%
He weighed a week before the fight 210 pounds and had to loose them quick!
I bet his preparation was bad either but hes very strong guy!

I can 't believe Guillermo Jones was a WW at the beginning of his career. Even as a CW he looks huge now.

So if he were able to grab the belt from Haye he'd become the first man to start his career at 147 and win a heavyweight belt?

I'm sure I read that Roy Jones is currently the only guy who started at 154 and won a heavyweight belt.
