What dont you get about him being 20? You want a green fighter thats 20 years old to fight the world champ of the world with a lot of good experience that will be like age 27 or 28? thats just asking for a bad beating. like your hero tito gave vargas

theres a reason i dont want canelo to go down that path.
You gotta be kidding me!You call people ****s but you rocking that gay ass avatar? Are you serious?

Puerto Rico would of loved Pacquiao more if He wasn't such of a catchweight beatch.
Most liked him before his head was bigger than the Island.
Now, He's just another Comemierda as his promoter Uncle Snob.

To answer your question I don't think pac is a star 2 ricans he jus got a huge win against a "beast" fighter in cotto most people looked at it in shock 2 see their beloved star take a beating like dat , even I was in a state of shock after watchn dat fight I was almost brought to tears ... lol

cotto is jus a different guy then all the other rican fighters he's no outspoken and arrogant and jus cuz of that I think people don't feel a connection like dey did with tito
Cotto is very family oriented and hum, u never hear anything bad bout him outside of the ring and he's not the type to trash talk and get all aggressive in fight pressers ,so dats y people is somewhat giving him flak.

That said, every single Puerto Rican I know and have talked boxing to, says Manny Pacquiao is like the greatest thing in the world(likely because he ****d Cotto) and they all say he's unstoppable- even against Margarito.

Am I correct in my observation? Ricans?
I live in South FL too, but more than just Puerto Ricans, I think it's across the board as far as Manny's appeal is concerned. I visit Miami a lot and there's a lot of Cubans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans who all like Pacquiao, but I don't think it's a nationalistic thing. It's hard not to be a fan of a guy who's fights almost always guarantee excitement. People **** on Pacquiao now for whatever reason it may be, but he'll be one of the fighters our generation will be telling our kids and grand kids about regardless of your nationality.

                    Really?

I'm not Rican but I've dated a lot of them who are from there and when Cotto fights they tell me everyone in there family old and young and friends are all watching.

That island damn near shuts down when Cotto fights.

                      That's not all together true.

Cotto isn't held as high in esteem as Trinidad, but he's still their #1 guy right now as far as Boxing is concerned. You got Juan Ma making his push, but he's still a little young.

If Cotto were to announce his next fight would be in Puerto Rico, you better believe that Arena would be a madhouse and tickets would be sold out within minutes.
