Why does everyone assume Margarito is such an easy matchup for Pacquiao?

Where did I compare Pacquiao with any of them? My point was that if Margarito was that limited, why had other fighters at this level failed to capitalize on his errors.Made no reference to Pacquiao whatsoever

I think that is why people picked him to beat Margarito....due to Margarito being slow, and that was the point I was making with Larry.

Also while Cotto and Clottey are slow compared to Manny they are still faster than Margarito so according to that logic (the one Larry was using) they should have easily beaten Margarito.

The thing is Margarito had intangibles (such as cutting the ring off, ability to disguingish between a feint and an actually punch, and constant pressure)to compinsate for his slow hand speed, which is why he won those bouts.

Now I'm not saying he beats Manny....just posting this as some food for thought.
I dont believe that one bit, Martinez was a football player with zero relative no amateur background, I think he had like 18 fights when he face Margarito who at the time was building up a name in mexico, So no i dont believe Martinez was a favourite at the time..

Back to the Margarito subject, I dont think he cuts off the ring properly, People use the Cotto fight as him cutting off the ring which i disagree with, If Pac stays in front of Margarito he would still beat him to the punch all day, Margarito is just to slow to beat or do Pac any damage.

You might not have said it in print but you did indirectly. The whole point people are saying is Pac isnt those 3 that you mentioned.

None of those three fight anything like Pacquiao, or are half the fighter he is, yet you implied that since they were unable to beat Margarito it somehow applies to Pacquiao.

          You absolutely compared them.

The answer of this thread is easy. He has no loaded gloves...that's why he will NEVER beat pacquiao. I hate cheato, but looking at his fight with mosley over and over in youtube...I actually feel bad for him. He looks like a scared little puppy who just got caught doing something wrong, who is confused and trying to find a way to win. ..and to the dumb **** who is saying that arum is paying cheato to lose...THERE IS NO LOGIC IN THAT. Cheato accepting to get beat is like him admitting bluntly he had loaded gloves and he no longer can pull the scam he did with cotto. 3 losses in a row won't be good at all for him in his career...

But He wont have bricks in his gloves to do it this time.........
