    Callate mamon.
Honestly Jack he did exactly what a fighter with a long layoff is suppose to do. Don't press on the gass and gets some rounds end. I can't see why this is even debatable.

With that said, I do feel Garcia is working on adding some new wrinkles in his game and they were experimenting with some stuff against an inferior opponent. Kinda like Nonito switching to southpaw against Hernan Marquez in there recent fight.

For example if this fight was held back in the day, both Manny and Tony would have to weigh under 154 the day of the fight. What that means is Margarito would more than likely be 154-158 on fight night. With the 24 rehydration thing we have now, even with the catchweight, Margarito has a day to rehydrate, meaning he could show up in the mid 160's

There was no need for catchweights back in the day for the reasons I mentioned above. The whole point of catchweights is to prevent huge disparities in weights on fight night.....something same day weigh-ins prevented in the first place.
There have always been catchweights. Always. Catchweights are not a byproduct of day before weigh-ins. They just get day before weigh-ins as a newer rationale for them. They were less common is some eras than others. This is an era where they are becoming common in big fights and only in targeted circumstance.

Not really. Cotto was tailor made for Pacquiao. Pacquiao is basically a faster Margarito minus the chin and plus footwork.

Basically Cotto never stood a chance against Pacquiao period. Even 147, it would have been the same result. If Cotto couldn't withstand slow unrelentlessness, then how is he gonna withstand fast unrelentlessness?

Cotto wasn't a big risk. Margarito isn't that big of a risk either. Margarito is slow. A risk for Pacquiao is someone equal with speed or footwork and fights smart ,not using their chin for defense.
