Alexander Povetkin to fight Teke Oruh?

According to the BoxRec schedule, Alexander Povetkin is to fight Teke Oruh next, in Cherkov Russia.

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hum...1173&cat=boxer

Oruh hasn't fought since 2008 and had lost his last two fights.

Povetkin's opponents since Teddy Atlas became him trainer:

Leo Nolan (an old, inactive clubfighter)

Javier Mora (an absolute bum who was stopped in round one by Sultan Ibragimov)

old Bruce Seldon in a possibly illegal, unsanctioned bout

    And now Teke Oruh?

    Impressive run there.

Povetkin needs to step up, big time.

What's bizarre is that Povetkin was fighting decent opponents in only his second and third years as a pro:

      June 2007: Larry Donald
      January 2008: Eddie Chambers

And then in early 2009, he fought a tough fringe contender in Jason Estrada.

But since Teddy Atlas began to advise him in late 2009, he's been fighting old, shot boxers and no-hopers.

And he's ducked a decent fringe contender/journeyman in Dominick Guinn.

Atlas must have no confidence in Povetkin if he is matching him like this.

              this is for sure a boost-confidence fight.......................lmo

              also its in Russia.
he should make a name there so that people can look forward to a fight of him, a Klitschko fight.

"oh look thats Povetkin, he destroyed that and that guy. Im gonne go to the Klitschko fight to support for him"

You switch trainers and your new trainer doesn't think you're ready.

I think Atlas has changed Povetkin's style. So a easy fight to work on the way Atlas wants him to fight makes sense.
