Haye only had one fight in the whole of 2009? I'd forgotten that. There's a guy who knows how to waste his time, huh?

Haye and Povetkin. And as someone pointed out, Donaire should totally be on that list.

Honorable mention: Bradley-one fight against an unknown welterweight...At least it was a prelude to fight Alexander, so I guess 2010 wasn't a total waste.

Why I didn't pick the other candidates:
Pac: Fought a tough welterweight in Clottey, unfortunately Clottey decided to not fight back. Will be back fighting Margarito in the fall, another tough former welterweight champ.

Mayweather: Dominated Mosley and made a killing in PPV numbers. That is the only thing keeping him from being completely wasted in the ring. Although with all his legal troubles now, he could very well make the list shortly.

Cotto: Ventured into a new division and owned an undefeated junior MW champ in front of 10s of thousands in Yankee stadium. This was the first fight there since Ali last fought there. He is taking the rest of the year off, but given his past wars, he could use the rest.

Klits: Hey, its the HW division. They take what they can get and own them. Not really much they can do.

Berto: A TKO win over Quintana seems a bit underrated it seems. I thought it was a great win over a very tough adversary. But I do agree that he seems to be walking down easy street now. He needs to step up and fight a big name VERY soon. His upcoming fight just seems like a total waste.

Oh, and how could I forget Winky Wright? In fact, he probably takes the cake in wasting the year away.

                  David Haye.

Lay off Vitali. His age and Haye worked against him.

Cotto did by picking on a light punching gimp.

It's a tie between Berto and Povetkin for me.
