Comments Thread For: James Kirkland Could Face Raines, Sierra or Findlay Next

The returning James Kirkland (25-0, 22 KOs) will likely end a 21-month layoff by returning on the December 11 non-televised undercard to Amir Khan's defense of the WBA junior welterweight title against Marcos Maidana at The Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Kirkland was imprisoned since April 2009 after pleading guilty to a charge of gun possession by a convicted felon. He was released on Thursday from Bastrop Federal Prison, Bastrop, Texas, and will spend the remaining months of his sentence in a halfway house.

Serria might be a little to much right now.

    Raines makes sense.

Fight a few tomato cans to shake the rust off.

Yeah his name in the mix is a little confusing.

            I think Miranda KO'd him.

            Not sure though.

I don't know if Kirkland will be the same without Wolfe, she knew how to get him to become a beast in the ring.

You can't bring that level of beastliness out of someone if they don't already possess it. It has to be built in your character.

The most that Kirkland might not have without Wolfe is his level of conditioning, which he definitely needs for the amount of power and output he wants to put up. But if whoever he trains with improves his footwork and/or defense it'll be more than worth it.
