Do some research and see for yourself. Nunn was Roy's mandatory contender. Roy didn't like the money split and declined to fight him. Nunn went to Germany and fought in a "vacant WBC light heavyweight title" fight. The WBC didn't give Rocchigianni the title, and he sued them and won. If Rocchigianni didn't need the money and settle for less, the WBC would have gone out of business. Please feel free to check all of this.

I think Roy Jones Jr. of the 1990's was doing something very similar to what Wladimir is doing now at HW. Beating contenders with ease, and making them look ordinary. He's got some solid names under his belt throughout the 1990's as well. And he was easily the #1 P4P fighter in the world after beating Ruiz in 2003. Yet, I get the impression that a lot of fans (particularly European fans) would still give him grief. Sometimes, no matter how good you are, you're still going to catch flack.
