I would still favour Floyd to win but it would be much harder than most people think, Shane Mosley thrives off come forward fighters he is able to do what these Mexican fighters do but with faster hands and shorter shots. Floyd isn't Shane in that respect.
I must agree, Margarito would of kept coming, those thundering Cotto shots didn't even make him blink.

it would have been a boring fight filled with straight rights, left hooks and lots of lateral movement.

it would have been akin to the first couple of rounds of the cotto fight, with floyd getting off first, though not in combination, and using his feet to get out of there. the difference is that floyd wouldn't have stood his ground like cotto, does not tire and is not weak to uppercuts.

they say that the first castillo fight gave the formula to beat floyd like they didn't see the second fight.

All Margarito brought to the table was Arum's money. What titles did he have? What following did he have? Who did he fight worth mentioning when he challenged Floyd? What was his ranking other than "The Most Dangerous Boxer" nickname?

Floyd fought Baldomir who had just beaten Judah in a mandatory for the WBC and Ring welterweight titles AND millions of dollars.

                .
If Margarito had some defense I'd give him a chance but he doesn't...Floyd isn't gonna lay on the ropes or stand in front of Marg and let him pound away...he's gonna stick and move all night...Marg breaks guys down...u gotta be LANDING to break someone down...

Paul Williams gave Marg a boxing lesson for the first 6-7 rounds of there bout until Paul began to slow down and Marg picked up the pace...you dig a hole against Floyd, you aren't gonna win....

All this talk about getting in the ring and getting hit by a southpaw with ridiculous speed and power from unpredictable angles is making me want to take a 2 year vacation

if floyd had some power i'd give him a chance but he doesn't. floyd isn't a stick and move fighter cause if he was he would have beaten castillo easily. he's a make you miss and then counter type of fighter. that won't work against margarito cause he punches from all angles. when floyd is playing defense he will be getting hit with punches that he normally wouldn't be hit with. golden johnson repeat.
