yes exactly he fought the shi-tty journeyman over the dangerous guy even though margarito was a popular mexican who had been on tv much more than baldomir the argentinian journeyman no one heard of and would have generated millions more for floyd on ppv revenue. oh wait no no it was cause baldomir had the belts but don't belts only collect dust according to floyd?

why bring up any excuse? he didn't fight margarito to fight the two people that were on top of the welterweight division at that time.

as they are both just hearsay, it was reported that they offered him 8 million to fight margarito yet it was also reported that he got that same payday AND the welterweight lineal championship (along with the belts i outlined in my first post) to fight baldomir.

the crazy thing is that he was supposably "ducking" zab judah when he was forced to fight sharmba mitchell due to the fail negotiations with judah. he gets in there and goes to judah's ass and now judah was never a threat. before mosley landed his shot, it was the first four rounds of the judah fight that *****es clung to as to why he could be beaten.

baldomir was suppose to come in as the bigger man and bully mayweather around the ring. he came in at a reported 185 pounds for a welterweight fight and got beat to embarrassment before and after floyd broke his hand from hitting him.

fake fans talk like margarito has some special offensive powers because of how he looked against cintron and cotto. tell me: which one of those fighters is floyd mayweather jr.?

most people agree he would have beaten miguel cotto and margarito. they just wanted to see him fight those fighters. his standing in the sport, his drawing power and the longevity of his career show that those fights weren't needed and, now, wouldn't be acceptable fights for him. he can't fight losers.

No, it was his way of avoiding being a slave of Bob Arum, instead he put himself in postion to not only make his biggest paycheck of his career, but to make the biggest fight in Boxing at the time.

HBO didn't think he was a ****ty journeyman...Baldomir was just on HBO months before...Marg's best win to date was over Kermit The Frog...he wasn't dangerous til he brutalized Cotto...

And Floyd has yet to fight a Top Rank fighter since leaving Arum...

Baldomir sucks but I never was and still aint too high on Marg...

margarito was ranked number 1 for years and years yet he didn't fight him. baldomir popped out of nowhere and beat zab to become lineal which does not mean he's the best. zsolt erdei was lineal for years yet fought no one and everyone knew he was a joke. same with baldomir. margarito built a solid resume over years. he wasn't a flash in the pan like baldomir.

if it's the same payday margarito would have generated millions more for floyd in ppv revenue since no one knew who baldomir was. people don't buy ppvs for lineal titles. proof of this is floyd vs gatti and floyd vs judah did more than floyd vs baldomir. marketing a popular mexican fighter vs floyd would have generated much more than 325k ppv buys. look how much that joke fight against marquez did.

yes and margarito is a much bigger aggressive fighter who throws punches from all angles. if mayweather barely beat castillo this looks like hell for him. baldomir is a conventional fighter who is easily beatable with floyd's style. margarito is not. no drama equals no interest.

those fights weren't needed because floyd was able to generate easy money off of ignorant fans who will buy anything but they were needed if he wanted to cement his legacy as a great fighter. he got the money but not the legacy or respect.

cept judah of course who you think was still a top welterweight after losing to baldomir.

yes they did that's why they matched him up with a completely shot gatti who wasn't even a welterweight. they knew he couldn't beat any real welterweight contenders so they tried to get gatti an easy belt. remember how every top welterweight was itching to get a baldomir fight but he took a fight with gatti then floyd swooped in and took the glory cause he generated the most money for baldomir.
