I wonder how much Judah paid the IBF to sort this out...

it sure looks that way. On another note isn't it kind of disturbing how many title opportunities Zab has gotten?

Just more evidence that belts don't mean anything anymore

Judah, say hi to a younger Kostya Tszyu who hits harder and faster.....But I still would want Judah to redeem himself... War Judah

Just when we were going to have one guy unify a ton of belts the IBF has to weasel their way out of it based on a technicality.

Either that or Gary Shaw is an idiot for not giving them the papers on time.

I think most posters here are WAY off base in blasting the IBF for having the nerve to actually follow their rules. Devon has a mando due, PERIOD. Had Shaw sent a contract showing the Bradley-Alexander fight was MADE then the IBF would have been fine. But he DIDNT. And a verbal just doesnt cut it. As of this moment, Bradley-Alexander is not made.

I think people get so used to the WBC and WBA never making anyone defend their titles (Pac, Floyd, DLH, etc.) that when a sanctioning body actually DOES force a mando, people forget that that's how things are SUPPOSED to be. If you dont want to defend your title, then vacate it..........

There rules are ****** and go against the best interests of the boxers and the fans. Common sense should be used and a mandatory against some scrub should not be allowed to get in the way of a huge unification fight. Im all for the IBF making its champions defend its belt against worthy challengers but if you take a look at their rankings like all the other alphabet belts rankings they just dont make any sense.

Mabuza just knocked out Kendall Holt to earn the #1 spot. The same Kendall Holt that put Bradley on the floor twice. Does he not deserve a shot?

Yeah he deserves a shot but to strip Alexander for fighting a bigger more dangerous opponent is ridiculous and goes against boxings best interests. In cases like these exceptions should be made. If Alexander was fighting an opponent who brought nothing to the table and was ducking Mabuza then he should be stripped.

i think nate campbell deserves a shot more than anyone. he only lost his last 2 fights cause he was blind and his knee didn't work. he's still undefeated basically.
