Exactly, they should be ignored, not only by us and the media, but by the top boxers making over a hundred grand every fight.

It could be beautiful thing if these *******s are eradicated from the map. They'd have no boxer paying more than a thousand dollar sanctioning fee and pretty much be forced into bankruptcy.

I think that the WBA should also be ignored because they have two world championship belts light-flyweight, super-flyweight, featherweight, and lightweight. I believe they will be having a second world champion at light-middleweight as well.

I have to agree that titles in today's boxing are no more than just that...titles and a trinket. Possessing one of them doesn't make you a/the champion by any stretch of the imagination. These titles also don't make you the best in your respective division either. Moreover guys come and snatch up belts and titles all the time without ever having to face the best in their division.

Boxing fans know who the best is in each weight class and we don't need belts or titles to tell us who they are. All this said, I hope that Alexander drops his belt and tells the IBF where to stick it. Fighting dangerous opponents or other fighters who will likely push/test you is much more important than possessing an alphabet belt/title. The winner of this fight will be seen as one of the best at 140 and will have huge drawing power regardless of what belts they possess.

In all honesty, who cares. I mean seriously, when are these sanctioning bodies and more improtantly fighters gonna understand that the fighter makes the title, not visa versa. The highest grossing fight of the year wasn't for an ABC belt. Actually, Mayweather made complete asses of the WBA in that one. And most of the top fighters have been dropping belts left and right lately in order to make the best match-ups. Personally, I think the ABC groups are a joke. And the more they do stuff like this, the less relevant they become. The only people who care about ABC belts nowadays are up-n-coming fighters and superstar fighters who are trying to legitimize sham promotions with meaningless paper trinkets.

Yeah all these titles suck but then again how are you gonna get recognized as a fighter if not by working your way up the ranks of one of these organizations, which by the way you gotta pay a membership fee to join them.

Mayweather can do whatever he wants, but he can't rid boxing of the ABC clowns by himself. As long as you have people like Team Pacquaio who shove sham promotions down our throats such as this garbage with Margarito about a title in an 8th division. And his loyal followers eat it up and scream to the high heavens that he's actually accomplishing something remarkable, the ABC groups will continue to plague boxing.

They'll even have 3 WBA titlists in 1 division. They have no shame in their game.

They'll regularly have a Super, Regular, and interim titlist in 1 division. ****, they have 2 Super titlists at 126.

There should only be 1 True champion in each division and maybe 2 sanc. organizations should remain.
