    Comments Thread For: Alexander May Lose IBF Title Before Bradley Unification

    In a strange situation, the IBF went forward with a purse bid on September 28 for an IBF mandatory bout between champion Devon Alexander and challenger Kizer Mabuza. According to the IBF, they sent a letter on August 9th which notified the promoters, Don King and Branco Milenkovic of South Africa, to begin negotiations. The negotiations period ended on September 9 and a purse bid was set for September 28.

                  Maybe the IBF was arrogant enough to think that Alexander would try and take care of his mandatory first then fight Bradley so they get to collect 2 sanctioning fees instead of 1. Shame if Alexander can't keep the belt for the Bradley fight though, it being a unification fight for 3 titles would've made it that much bigger.
