I agree PAC is huge right now, but what you're not listening is that he won't sell 1.7 million fighting Margarito right now. You know PBF vs SSM made 1.5 million PPV's, because they promoted the fight so much it was redicules.

This fight with Margarito hasn't even seen the air waves yet, and the fight is two months away. Most people I know didn't have a clue that Margarito was reinstated, how can you sell tickets if the casual fans don't even know that these two are fighting?

          45k-50k PAID ATTENDANCE.

You have to remember Pac vs Cottey was reported at 50k attendance but only 37k tickets were paid for.

PPV buys probably 900k-1.2 million buys.

            actually it was paid for.

jerry jones bought it and gave it away.

it's not like other events where it wasn't selling so they gave it away at the end to pack the house.

jerry jones bought the tickets from the beginning to give away to his friends/business partners/players.

            not exactly the same thing.

That is the official number reported by the Athletic commission.

              Comps were 5,472.

If you have any official sources that say otherwise please post them.

that's not what they reported on espn and other sources.

i guess that source is more accurate since they have the breakdowns too.

The fight is getting more and more fans that are going to watch it after swearing up and down they wouldn't. Then the people who always said they would, plus each fighters respective fans. 24/7 starts in two weeks and then **** will hit the fan.

Everyones average is pretty spot on with 65-70k and about 900K-1.1MM PPV buys.

im sure the attendance numbers are right with most peoples predictions the prices are right for the stadium seating i might even go if i lived in texas the pricing is extremely competitive when you look at the price i paid for my gamboa salido ticket. beyond that though i dont this fight breaks millin ppv's im gauging my opinion from asking non boxing fan friends i know. everybody heard about mayweather vs mosley likewise pacquiao vs cotto but respectively didnt here about mayweather v marquez and pac v clottey. my guess clottey numbers like 750k would be considered a success for this fight regular fans really are turned off when they here margaritos plaster history. believe it or not but the majority of ppl still have some degree of ethics.
