Arum doesn't like Haymon, because Al is the one who stymied TR's relationship with Mayweather. He convinced Floyd to buy out.

Haymon is very friendly with Time Warner chairman of the board and CEO **** Parsons. Why is this significant? Time Warner owns HBO! Haymon is also very close to Kery Davis (whom you might have heard Floyd thank occassionally) --------->she is the senior VP of programming @ HBO sports.

So you can see why Al is a pretty powerful guy in boxing. The most interesting thing about Al though is that he operates without a license. This means he operates above regulatory controls (i.e. the federal guidlines) to which promoters and mangers follow. Now you are prob starting to understand why Al is such a recluse and so media shy. This is a guy who didn't accept or even acknowledge the BWAA when they voted him "manager of the year" in 2006----> probably because in order to be a manager you need a license. By accepting he would just be acknowledging he is a "manger" operating outside of the rules. Hence he isn't a manger or promoter.....simply a "friend" or "advisor"

Haymon is the man who secures HBO dates + license fees (the money). In fact he gets excessive license fees. This makes sense given the close relationships that i mentioned above. The independents (especially Gary Shaw) basically serve at Al's pleasure with regard to the fighters they share. It's rumoured Al got a HUGE $3.2 million dollar license fee for Tarver vs Dawson II (the first one didn't exactly do big business). Dawson is promoted by Shaw.

Hope this info helps out as i see alot of people asking what HAymon actually does and how he does it.
Do you think he played a hand in Williams getting a gift decision against Martinez?

If the 150 catchweight was inconsequential why would team Pac ask for it??
Ofcourse it will effect Tony. Brick is just as dense as his name suggests.

perfect example was Pipino Cuevas. After running 147 for years once he got trounced by Hearns he was never the same

Marg did look **** but it was a comeback fight. He probably didn't even train that great unlike now where he is putting a lot into it.

Mosely at that fight had his number. You should never let Mosely tee off on you. Some say Marg found it hard to make 147.
                Before:

                2008 vs Marquez

                Morales 1

                After

                After Clottey fight

Yep, apparently, his face doesn't hold up as it did before. He looks more beaten up in his recent fights from these before/after pictures.

                  ****** ***** logic^^^^^^^^^^

Doesn't know that JMM is more precise and lethal with his combos then Cotto and Clottey combined and on top of that he is a true warrior that will go out on his shield. The same goes for Morales who is 100x better then clottey and a better boxer then cotto. Cotto and Clottey shouldn't even be in the same sentence with Marquez and Morales when speaking of damage.

However, Clottey did **** Pacquiao up with the little punches that he threw which lead me to believe that Pac gets easily busted by these bigger WWs....
Thus, Margarito is at an advantage in their upcoming fight

We have same observations But I guess these are all hypothetical.

If you don't care what Clottey was doing then perhaps you don't box yourself which is Okay with me.

                    Here's a boxing lesson 101.

Punching someone who is there to be hit is a lot easier than missing. When you miss you get more tired. Since Clottey was in his gaurd, of course Pac will punch him.

Pac has slowed down, do some research if you are nto sure.

This is not fun and games, this is a debate.

I agreed Marg has slipped mroe than Pac, but to act like Pac has not is ludicrous. Infact it is dumb to think that Pac at his age has not slipped physically.

I already knew most of this (except the relationship with Caplan), but this piece became pretty obvious to me when Shaw was asked about the Ward-Dirrell location situation. GS pretty much admitted that he was completely out of the loop on the entire situation (because Haymon advises Dirrell).

What's funny about that situation is that I read that there are 3 locations where Ward-Dirrell will more than likely be held and none of them are in California (Vegas, Detroit, Atlantic City).

Ward could've had the fight in Oakland again, but Haymon must've somehow convinced Goossen that it wasn't going to happen. Haymon is a boss.
