Paul "Catchweight" Williams is a fake hypejob

What did this guy used to say? "I'm a warrior, I'll fight anybody from Welterweight to Middleweight at any time, Mayweather picks his fights. He will never fight me. It doesn't matter who I fight, I'll fight anybody"

He then goes and demands a catchweight against Martinez. Who is the world champion. Paul isnt the world champion. To me that is a b*tch move that he has copied from the catchweight king Pacquiao. And I don't buy the idea that Pacquiao is allowed to do it because he is "smaller" than his opponents. Floyd Mayweather Jr was naturally smaller than Genaro Hernandez, Jose Luis Castillo, Arturo Gatti, Carlos Baldomir, Oscar De La Hoya and Shane Mosley but he didnt ever demand catchweights. He just beat them. Fair and square.

What gives Williams the right to demand that? I never understood all the hype about him. Basically he has 2 good wins. Against Martinez which was extremely close and against Winky Wright. Who was coming off a 2 year layoff. He also beat Quintana but he lost to Quintana in the first fight.

How this makes him p4p #3 I do not know. Top 3 P4P fighters don't lose to guys like Carlos Quintana. It's just hype from the American media. This guy isnt the best fighter at 154 or 160lbs. I'm sorry but he isnt. And he isnt a big enough draw to ever get a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Which is abit of a shame because I would love to see Floyd expose him. Although Pacquiao might fight him at a catchweight if Martinez knocks him out. But I doubt that will happen. Sergio doesnt punch hard enough to KO a Middleweight.

But I do think he will beat Williams if he fights smart.

If Paul knew how much we the hardcore boxing fans disliked catchweights...I'm certain he wouldn't have demanded it. Also, Margarito was a good win too.

            1. What's so special about that? It's called boxing not fighting. Any idiot can hit someone, boxing is about hitting and not getting hit. I'm guessing you are one of those "boxing fans" that just loves pure violence rather than actual skills being displayed in the ring.

            2. The post relates to Williams catchweight demands. When your mentioning catchweights in boxing you have to mention Pacquiao. I mentioned Floyd because posters on here call him a "coward" yet he never in his 41 fight career demanded a catchweight. He just beat everyone under any circumstances. He fought De La Hoya at Oscar's weight class, with handpicked gloves and in Oscar's backyard and still beat him.

It's possible. But he had this aura of "I'll fight anybody, anytime at any weight" and then demands a catchweight. I find it hard to respect that. It's the same thing with Pacquiao. He's the "fighter of the decade" but refuses to fight top fighters at their natural weight. Cotto was fighting at 145 after being KO'd by Margarito. Hatton was fighting at 140 after being brutally knocked out by Mayweather Jr. Margarito now at 150 after being KO'd by Mosley. The list goes on and on.....Morales at 130 after being dominated by Raheem at 135.

I never rated Margarito. I think he's a C level fighter who cheated his way to the top. However you are right, Williams win over him does have some significance in that Margarito proberbly had loaded gloves and still lost.

I alway say boxer would say soo much stuff when they are on the outside looking in, Its when they get inside that everything changes for them, Williams hasnt even got in all the way yet and he was demanding a catchweight fight for a very famous weight-class.

I remember when Winky wright was on the outside and having to go to different countries to get a fight he would talk talk talk but would also fight anybody at that time, The moment he got in with the big players he turn exactly like them, refusing fights because of dumb ****** reasons etc.

Williams is no different and when he finally becomes a top dog in boxing he would be worse than the people he replaces.

He can't possibly be worse than Pacquiao.
