Overpaid, for a chumpion with no belt because he wasn't good enough to win against Hatton. Instead he just kept making excuses on why he lost to Hatton. He should just flat out give Hatton credit for beating him but he won't because he is a pos.

just further to this, another reason he got so much is because of GBP push into Brooklyn and NY. They have signed an exclusive deal with The Barclays Center to promote boxing and plan to put on cards in Brookyln and Newark.

They signed Paulie for obvious reasons...he has a big italian fanbase in NY. Obviously it would be advantageous with him fighting and doing promotional work to support this push, hence he's getting the $$$$$$$.

He has a big guido fan-base, because Italians like to root for good fighters not phoneys.

Malignaggi has done print clothing ads that have been featured in magazines such as Esquire magazine, Playboy magazine, and Frank 151 magazine. He also had a small role in the movie "Undefeated" featuring John Leguizamo, and had a feature documentary on his life leading into his fight with Miguel Cotto titled "Magic Man". Japanese video game company Nintendo used him as the model for their character Little Mac in the new sequel Punch-Out!! for the Wii, and also featured him in the commercials as well. Malignaggi is a featured fighter in EA Sports' Fight Night Round 4 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
