golden boy has shown more willingness to go outside the box like he says, he knows very well it limits competetion and fight quality when everything is kept -in house.

one can dream,IMO one "league" would do the trick, then have the top promoters be under one set of rules.especialy contracts and who they fight.I still think the egos would get out of control and it would break off in a aba/NBA situation like they did in the 70's.Comment

That is what would fix the sport. Having only ONE world champion in each weight class.
That way everyone knows who the man is and you have to go through him if you want the big money and recognition. Instead of how it is now with WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO champions running around everywhere.Comment

Golden Boy puts on the best match ups??? When was the last time you seen a GBP show that had a decent undercard? De La Hoya needs to leave Richard Schaeffer's company to Richard Schaeffer and just keep quiet and collect his cutComment

boxing does need to find a new direction. for the fighter's and the fans.
they need to focus on the new talent not just 5 or 6 superstars.Comment

Paulie got fights with Hatton and Cotto and Khan. Id say Dibella is a helluva promoter...Usually volatile promoter Lou DiBella sees no news value in Oscar de la Hoya's public proclamation that Golden Boy must rule boxing to the exclusion of competitors.
