If Khan unifies 140, he would not have to vacate to fight Mayweather.

They only recently stripped Manny of his title at 140, after he announced his intention to fight Margo at JMW.

Uhh... He can't just beat Maidana and the winner of Bradley/Alexander and say he's ready for Floyd. That's just dumb.

He has to beat Both Bradley and Alexander. And Ortiz. And (**** it) Zab Judah. Than he has to move to 147 and beat Berto. And he has to look good doing it. Otherwise he's dreamin.

I don't see this being any better of a fight in 6 months than it is now. Floyd would beat Amir up.

Truth. If Khan doesn't unify 140, he doesn't deserve this.

I'll wait to hear something official, because I remember all the Matthew Hatton, Nate Campbell, and Paulie Malignaggi rumors about Floyd from earlier this year.

I think down the line Khan could pose some sort of threat to Mayweather, his style represents more problems than Pacman's style would to Mayweather imo.

But there's no chance of this happening by Spring. Right now Mayweather would dominate him, he hasn't even done enough at 140 to warrant a shot.
Khan needs to beat Maidana first, then beat the winner of Bradley/Alexander providing that happens. Maybe after that fight Ortiz/the loser of Bradley Alexander. Once that's done he can move up but STILL that's not Mayweather time. He should move up have a fight against a contender then fight someone like Andre Berto for the WBC title.

FINALLY after all that is done we will see if he is ready for someone like Mayweather, but lets be honest, it's going to take years to do this in the current state of boxing where fighters take around 2 maybe 3 fights per year. I've mentioned a maximum of 6 fights which would take him 2 years to complete at the rate he fights now. A lot can change in boxing in 2 years. There will be new champions and new challenges, Mayweather might have retired again by then.

Basically he has a long way to go before he beats Mayweather, but i do believe in the future it would be a great fight if both of them are still around fighting at the highest level. I just think it's unlikely that they will meet up this soon. Khan won't be ready for Mayweather for another 2 years imo.

I always thought that anyone who uses the Pac-Clottey fight in reference to why Pac was tagged and will lose if he fought blah blah and yada yada, are total IDIOTS!

For ****s sake please watch Pac-Clottey again and please see why it was such, and if you conclude that Pac will lose to Floyd or anyone out there because you just watched Pac tagged by Clottey coz the Ghanian covered in a shell all day and became an opportunist instead of a boxer, then GTFOH!

At least use Pac-Marquez, Pac-Cotto or any other competitive fight by Manny as a gauge, but Pac-Clottey? LOL nuthugging can be very fatal for mental.

Pacquiao couldn't break Clotteys defence down and Clottey went into a shell. Do you not realise Mayweathers defence is better than Clotteys and Mayweather will be countering the living **** out of Pacquiao the more he comes forward.
