So what happens to the fighters who refuse to grovel at Golden Boy's feet?

Just one promoter? How the hell can one promoter put on more then one show a week? Boxers would be unemployed, and Golden Boy would dictate all the purses, like the UFC, Oscar surely deserves more money.

One universal governing body working with a multitude of promoters is different, that is what the sport leagues are essentially.

Boxing needs a centralised governing body.

Having numerous promoters is fine, the more the better.

Having only one promotional company, would be the end of boxing as we know it.

the multiple COMMISSIONS are the problem, not necessarily the promoters.

Boxing needs a singular governing body like the NFL or MLB, and the promoters would be like the owners of NFL and MLB teams.
One major championship for each weight division. Tournament-style ranking system for each weight division to determine #1 contenders. This way, the champion will HAVE to fight the #1 ranked contenders.

Simply make it mandatory to have the best fight the best. That's all we want.

The UFC model is garbage, they managed to convince their idiot fanbase that anyone outside their promotion is minor league. That is why all these non-UFC MMA promotions are dropping like flys...how great for the sport.

Yet that fan base gets all the big fights because the UFC controls all the top talent which is good for fans and bad for other promoters who are not named Dana White. But unlike you I don't give a *** about promoters or who makes more money. As a fan all I care about is good fights and if it takes one promoter controling everything then what do I care.

How much boxers make and how much promoters make means nothing to me. If this is what it takes to make all the big fights happen then so be it.

I like the idea of one ruling body making the rules for all fights no matter where in the world they take place with one champion per division. The champion of the division should only be able fighters ranked in the top 3.

I don't see Oscar and Golden Boy taking over the sport anytime soon, considering Top Rank, in my opinion has put on just as many good events and has just as many or more top fighters. Now if Arum and Oscar wanted to stop being biitches and put aside differences and combine forces, then they could realistically do it. Bottom line is no one man should be running the sport in my opinion, too risky in a sport that has had so much corruption like boxing. But you get the top promoters in the world to create one body and then they can all make money together, of course guys like oscar and arum would have more stake in the body than a guy like goosen, shaw, dibella, etc.

no no no no no! all wrong! This is not about The best fights not happening or the BEST fighting the BEST. This is about One PERSON wanting to control everything.

The reason the BEST don't fight the best is because of GBP and TOP RANK. YES! the two biggest promotional companies. JUST THINK ABOUT IT! They both put on their own shows with their fighters fighting their own fighters or fighting bums with 1-2 fight contracts.

again...the problem is not to many promoters....or that their's to many champions ECT... The problem is GREED on the part of GBP and TOP RANK. They don't work well with other promoters when it comes to putting their elite stable fighters against other promoters ELITE stable fighters. Their fighters might lose and they get a lesser peice of the pie. It's a lose lose for them.

They don't care about the fans or boxing. If they did ANGULO/COTTO, WILLIAMS/PAVLIK, SOTO/J.MARQUEZ, CABALLERO/JUANMA, DARCHYNIAN/DONAIRE 2, CHAD DAWSON/HOPKINS, KHAN/BRADLEY, CHAVEZ JR/vs any TOP 10 (LOL) would of happend already.

I would also say MAYWEATHER/PAC but that didn't happen cuz AURUM is a Mr.Burns and MAYWEATHER is a scared loud mouth biatch. I would also say HAYE/any KLITSCHKO but haye is just like mayweather...a scared loud mouth biatch.
