the biggest misconception from May 8th is that Tony couldn't put Garcia away

I think I shared this here but I will say it again

in the first round when Tony knocked down Garcia hard his entire camp all screamed "NO!!!!!!!!!!" at Tony telling him to go rounds. Tony kind of shrugged his shoulders meaning he really didn't try and knock him down but he couldn't help it.

He let off the gas after, almost too much for his team's liking but Tony is either all or nothing I have seen him take it easy on sparring and he literally pitty pats and lets the other guy hit him at will

Good lookin out on the info man. People really don't realize how competitive this fight may be. The size/strength of marg may give pac more trouble than he expects.

I personally think people are denouncing Maragrito b/c of Mosley & their disliking of Pacquiao....it's sad, but it's true. I see Margarito as a legitimate opponent to anybody in the welterweight/junior welterweight division (Mosley rematch included). The loss to Mosley was more mental than anything in my opinion. But what's your take on this fight?

theres a story today, cirulating in philipine press, that roach has plants watching margs training" im watching them from here, theres only so much they can do" well if roach is not concerned, why are u watching them? if theyre so limited why do u care? roach is also quote as saying"im not comfortable with this fight, manny wanted this fight , I wanted the 3rd fight with marquez, ill go along with it because manny has beat bigger fighters before, but even now fighting margarito is something im not comfortable with" - " I dont want this fight going the distance we need to get him out of there early"-dog house boxin

roach plays to the camera and flaps his gums about stopping margs early, but he even knows pacman is not in for an easy fight and not even he beleives his own bs.I sense an undercurrent of concern more from camp roach than from camp margs. personally I dont think mannys face and skin will hold up 12rnds. he got really busted up in his last 2 outings against dudes that barely hit him who really barley let their hands go, and manny will get hit in this fight alot, to me im not buying the hype train, margs is a very live underdog here, too much going for him in this matchup.

yeah the letting off the gas part I have seen Tony do a lot with sparring partners he knows cannot keep up.

as for the fight it all depends on how much was taken out of Tony from the Mosley and Cotto fights. Styles like Tony's do not have great shelf lifes and tend to fall hard. Case in point is Pipino Cuevas who was all but unbeatable then was destoyed by Hearns and really fell off after

if there is any semblance of what we saw against Cotto then I think it will be a fun night in Dallas

can he win? maybe. I think Roach hates the idea of training in the PI because of all the distractions etc but Manny is a true pro

well he might there are a lot of fighters trainers etc in the oxnard area right now because Martinez opens his camp up soon as well

I know Grandpa keeps his training somewhat open so who knows I do know Tonys managers want it very closed so we will see

he looks serious from all the signs coming out of this fight its safe to say this is going to be an ugly ugly fight.its tough to bet against manny cuz hes been on a tear, however teddy atlas said , "if I was pacmans advisers im not sure at this point in his career I wouldve opted to fight margarito, theres no need this is a fight manny could lose, too many disadvantages"

then if thats the case pac should get a lil credit for fighting a bigger and stronger margarito...since everybody is saying that this is a fight that pac can lose...

dude margs doesnt look the least bit scared of pac.in fact he looks extremley confident, has the same look he had before cotto if it will play out the same is very tough to say, if anything pac is overconfident, and margs feels he has this.

the guy i get the sense is scared is freddy roach hes talking too much , and hes already been quoted as saying he didnt want margs and hes not comfortable fighting margs, on camera he talks his bs but im not buying it.he been wrong in his last 2 predictions.
