I think he deserves it. Like BlackIrish said, he beat Angulo, another top 154 and was in my eyes shutting out Williams before he leaped like a frog.

I think Cotto did duck him. He wants another Jennings/Gomez type of opponent with a name on it like Chavez Jr.. He isn't even ranked and Cintron is miles ahead better than him.

I don't like Cintron and all his crying, but he certainly is a reasonable opponent for Cotto.

Hes had a few bad outings as has Cotto, Cotto had another shot after losing to Margs and a shot at a 154 belt when he wasnt even rated at the weight. This is boxing and nowadays anything is possible. So I dont see why. I still hold to believing Cintron would beat and possibly stop Cotto.

He was beating Williams like a drum and making him look amateur. I forgot he also beat Angulo.

He's totally worthy.

More worthy than Williams or Berto thats for sure.

I think he gave Martinez a harder tactical fight than Williams did too.
