He never ducked Kostya. That fight was damn near impossible to get made. One was a Showtime fighter the other an HBO fighter. The only time Showtime and HBO worked together was for Lewis-Tyson. And, that was because it was a huge HW event. Mayweather-Tzsyu wasn't at the time. It would of been a big fight for hardcore fans and that is it. Very hard to make that fight happen.

However, that is why I feel that Floyd was just selling wolf tickets per say in calling out Kostya. He knew damn well that fight couldn't have happened.

After seeing how Margarito and Cotto are not that good, I criticize Floyd less and less for not fighting them. But it still hurts his legacy somewhat. The Pac thing is just an ultimate duckage. I actually don't share the same opinion of the TS to be honest. Most people think Pac is gonna **** Margarito and when he does, that is gonna prove that all Floyd needs to do is get in the ring with Pac and win and his legacy is sealed. It's unfair because Pac has a better resume. But it's just the way it is.

Now it could not have been made. Kostya didn't have any headlining PPVs and I think at the time of the call out Floyd didn't either. And, you would have to remember that both HBO and Showtime would have been fighting on who would of had the rights of the fights. And, neither would of cave in.

That is why it took so long for Lewis-Tyson to get made the kept battling over who would have rights. Finally they work something and also cuz it was a guarantee that fight would of done over a mili PPVs. At the Floyd couldn't even break 400k.
