Manny Pacquaio: The Real Reason He Won't Fight Any Junior Welterweights

People on here say Manny's best weight is at 140 and he has to eat 5-6 times to make 147, lol. He should have no problem going down to 140 for a fight when Arum, Roach, Ariza, and even Manny have said multiple times Manny can easily make 135 for a big fight.

Why did people criticize Floyd for fighting Hatton at 147, when he was the bigger draw for the fight? People expected the best boxer in the world and the bigger draw to come down to 140?

I never criticized Floyd for fighting Hatton at 147. Dude had more pull at the negotiation table so that is why the fight happened there.

So with that said, looking at it from a business perspective.....what cards do any of those guys hold that would make Manny come to them (fight at 140)? The only way that happens, is if Manny is feeling generous.

Khan vs. Manny would do at least 1.25-1.5M combined in the US and UK. Margacheato is not a draw anymore in the sport... how much did he sold in his last fight? 15K? Manny is only fighting TR fighters.

i just cant believe some of you guys think than any of the jr welterweight has a chance against a prime Manny Pacquiao. and to say Khan has more skill than Manny is ******. Destroying people, knocking them out cold, losing so few rounds were not skills right? but throwing jab is? when you put Khan in front of Manny he would be retiring at a young age. Khan's best win was against Malignagi and suddenly he has more skills that Manny. GTFO!

I said he's more talented than Manny. Other fighters are more skilled than Manny.

Manny's fans always say he fights for his country and they brag about how he always fights the best. Everyone on this site knows he's not going to fight anyone that can actually beat him just like he ducked Mosley. Watch him fight Mosley next and KO because he's shot. His fans will come on here to brag about how Manny beat anyone top guy, when Mosley is shot and past his prime.

I do think the best fighter in the world should be fighting the best if his fans are going to say he's the best. Why is Manny okay with going up to 151 to fight Margacheato and he wanted to fight Yuri at 154, but won't fight the top guys at 154? His team knows Williams and Martinez are legit threats to beat him.

Like I said....you says he won't fight those two in his next fight. Again, Manny officially moved up to 147 June-Nov 2009. In that time he has fought Clottey, Cotto and soon to be Margarito....yet it's not enough for you and other Floyd fans. If that was Mayweathers resume...you would be stroking him up and down NSB.

I agree. I think Khan would have enough pull to get the fight made in England or in some middle east country like Dubai. With that said.....I doubt Manny and Amir ever face off. Reason being is Roach is very important to Khan and if he gets past Maidana, Bradley and another top fighter....I doubt he goes against the grain and dumps Roach, the key to his recent success, just for a big fight with Manny.

There was no point in fighting Clottey at WW and fighting Margacheato at 151. Why can he move up to 154 to fight Yuri, but can't do the same for Williams and Martinez?

Floyd's next opponent better be Martinez at 160 or Manny at 147.

What if he can make 40M fighting Manny in the UK? Do you think he would turn down that offer? I don't think so... people forget Khan doesn't love boxing and wants to quit boxing in a few years. He has said multiple times he wants to quit boxing in 3-4 years and do something else with his life. Khan also said he wants to fight boxers when they're declining in their career, so he might wait for Manny to get older before he fights Manny.

Not one of the fighters at 140 give Pac anything close to a competitive fight. None of them would even last to the 11th round. Margarito at least has that chance.

Huh? A fight with a young fast fighter is a lot harder fight than fighting a shot, past prime, cracked chin fighter.

Khan vs. Manny would be a lot tougher fight for Manny than Margacheato. Khan also dropped Pac in sparring with a body shot.

And how would Freddie Roach manage training them both?


Pac gets his corner instruction in the even round and Khan in the odd ones?
