Victor Ortiz : The Biggest American Hypejob

Victor Ortiz is the most over-rated and over-hyped American involved in the sport of boxing, If he was from any other country than the US no-one would have heard of him. I sometimes think Oscar De La Hoya takes pity on Ortiz and Ortiz's plight as a child, Ortiz having arguments with his dad, Ortiz having to raise his kid brother, Ortiz crying about it on HBO and basically going around saying "Im young, Hispanic, uneducated, So give me a handout!"

Goldenboy propaganda factories continuously spew forth messages like, "The Next Oscar De La Hoya" , That assertion is not only untrue but a conscious lie —and we all know it.

What Has Victor Ortiz done to get the hype he gets?

    1) He lost via Disqualification to a journeymen
    2) He Quit like a school girl against Maidana in a fight he could have won
    3) He lost to Khan in the Amatauers
    4) He acted like a goofy kid laughing and joking about his no-mas
    5) He beat a 39 year old shot to bits Nate Campbell
    6) He beat a shot to bits Vivian Harris
    7) He has no belts
    8) He has no olympic medals
    9) He tries to imimate DLHs charachter thats makes everyone cringe
    10) He calls himself "vicous" but he smiles and plays the good guy
    11) He is intellectually challenged
    12) He is the part of the problem with boxing, Not part of the solution

Ortiz shouldnt worry, Goldenboy will make sure Ortiz gets all of Khans 'hand me down' vacated belts If Khan unifies all the titles at 140lbs and move up 147lbs. Because everyone knows Ortiz can never win those belts against any of the champions who currently hold them, So basically Ortiz will become a paper champion who will get all of Khans hand me down vacated belts and fighting on Khans undercards. Infact Oritiz I feel shouldnt even be on HBO, He should be on ESPN.

So is Victor Ortiz overhyped? Lets vote on it.

ortiz is the most avoided fighter at 140 imo, he has the style, speed and power to upset anyone, i personaly think he should have moved to 147 awhile ago, as its hard for him to get a title shot when everyone is talking about khan, maidnana, bradley and devon

He appears to me to be very talented. I think he'll win a rematch with Maidana.

Ortiz will likely be in good fights in the next few years with Bradley, Alexander and the others.

I agree. His hand speed, foot speed, power and boxing ability are all imagined.

I actually used to think he was overrated but I'm starting to believe he is very talented. A lot of times a loss can bring the best out of a fighter and I think that is the case with Ortiz. He may never be the best in this division because Khan, Bradley, and Alexander are 3 of the best fighters in the world but I think Ortiz can be very, very good. His future is very bright.

i strongly disagree, victor is a very very skilled fighter, most you ***z overlook that cuz he have up on maidana but keep in mind ortiz was raping him until he decided to slug with maidana.

if ortiz and maidana rematch, i take ortiz.
