Yeah, De La Hoya made it clear that GBP respects all contracts that fighters have with other promoters. And that he was going to check if it was true that Chavez Jr. was a free agent.

Jr was the one that got in contact with golden boy and all dlh said they were going to check his free agent status and if confirmed they will begin negotiations. Why, what difference does it make to you when or even IF he retires. It's not your business, but you could ask him, anyway.Personally I believe that he will die in the middle of making a fight. many years in the future.

Of course you realise that if he retires, as you so greatly want, the level of fights will immediately drop, the grat fights will be harder to make, and the whole boxing world will be thrown into a depressive slide.
