Margarito/Pacquiao is CLEARLY a better fight than Marquez/Mayweather

The Mayweather-JMM fight was thrashed by fans and the media, Especially when Mayweather refuse to make weight...And rightly so.. But 2501 obsession with anything Mayweather or Mayweather fans makes him look ****** sometimes with his little rants.

The reason this fight is unversally trashed and msy/JMM ws not is because JMM was arguably the best p4p fighter on the planet, many experts, fans, media people felt he beat Manny.

This pac/marg fight isn't being trashed because its a mismatch. its being trashed because Marg is a cheater, it for a a title at a weight both fighters are a combined 1-1 at, and its another in house Top rank fight.


You blame floyd fans but its non floyd fans, regular boxing fans, boxing writers, and manny's protectors in the media like larry merchant and doug fischer ALL are killing this fight. Take it up with them.

First of all P4P is not a weight-class. JMM didn't belong at WW I could careless where he ranked in P4P wise he wasn't and is not a top WW period. And, that fight also got universally trashed by the media and fans especially after Floyd didn't make weight. Which was fully deserved BTW,

Anyways both fights are/were bull**** but both were also interesting. Floyd-JMM was interesting due to Floyd long layoff. It had nothing to do with JMM because he had no chance of winning since he wasn't fight at his best weight. But, due to Floyd coming back from retirement it made it interesting to see how he would look.

Pac-Margarito is interesting due to the styles. It will be a very entertaining fight. Marg might not have a chance he might shot or whatever but it will be entertaining. And, that is why is interesting but both were bullshit at the same time.

But, here is the thing if you Floyd and you bought Floyd-JMM then you can not call Pac fans or anybody else who buys Pac-Margarito not real boxing fans like wannabe Eminem did in him thread.

Yet you bitches complained how Molsey wasn't a formidable opponent after getting his ass beat (After claiming Floyd was ducking him).

JMM/May did not cause Rafael, Iole, etc etc to write columns degarding the fight the day it was signed. Mayweather was questioned for not fighting a true ww but the fight wasn't killed like this. Pac/Marg is getting killed by different sides for different reasons:

pac fans kill it because Marg isn't the best comp out there and because they see Manny giving a cheater they dont respect a big payday

"boxing" fans kill it for the reasons above and because the catchweight kills the credibility and legitimacy of the 154 lb title, not to mention niether guy has done anything at 154.

writers kill it for the reasons above and because it shows how powerful promoters can influence sanctioning organization rankings, which makes boxing look bad. floyd fans kill it because they believe this fight was made in January/february and shows Manny had no intention of fighting floyd.

The only positive thing people say about this fight is "Manny is fighting while floyd isnt".

Exactly! Have seen a lot of Pac fans who disagree with the fight, I also disagree with the fight even though i think the fight has the potential to be a FOTY candidate if Margarito has anything left (Which i do not believe).

Jrosales13 obviously JMM was not a quality ww fight. Never said it was. The fight got trashed when floyd didn't make 144 lbs. We agree. But JMM had EARNED the right to fight the biggest draw in boxing. Marg hasn't. Floyd/JMM didn't taint a title and 3 boxing commissions. This fight will and did. Floyd/JMM didn't shame the sport (although floyd surely has).

I also don't recall as many people saying they wouldn't buy the JMM/floyd fight as they are this, despite Manny being immensely more popular than floyd.
