I don't think that winning a fight in dominant fashion can have a negative impact upon your legacy. It can do nothing whatsoever to improve it though.

If Pac beats Margarito, I think that the value of the win will be determined by what Margarito does in the future. Right now it's hard to rate Margarito too highly as an opponent. We don't know how much he has left or how much his previous wins were thanks to a little added help.
