Who is better at Promoting Big Fights Golden Boy or Top Rank?

I feel that Golden Boy is much better at promoting big Fights and that they are adapting to the new age with internet advertising and other media outlets where as I feel Top Rank in particular Bob Arum is stuck in the old days of letting the fight and the fighters name basically sell the fight. I feel that Todd Duboef though is a breath of fresh air and he made Oscar and Floyd the stars they are today. But I remember seeing commercials for the Marquez vs. Diaz card and saw signs on a few bus stops even. What do you guys think?

Top Rank is superior to Golden Boy in every way EXCEPT Golden Boy knows how to make great fighters entertainment stars and top rank doesn't. Top Rank is superior using the unternet, regional promotion, finding opponents, selling fights etc etc. Simply no comparison.

Idk lol I think they have more money and establishment than Golden Boy has because they are relatively a newer company where as Top Rank has been promoting fights forever and Arum has connections with High Rollers. Plus Golden Boy is practically in bed with HBO because of all the money Oscar de la hoya generated for them.

Golden Boy is much better at promoting fights. However, Top Rank is 20 times better at grooming their fighters and match making.

Top Rank used to be better, but lately they have different excuses for NOT negotiating with other promoters. IMO today they are less because GBP still has the ability to negotiate with most promoters.

IMO Top Rank has become snobby opening the door for GBP to bring better fights, making them better promoters.

I actually think Golden Boy makes the more interesting fights when fighters reach the elite level.

On a grand scale of things, Top Rank is much better at promoting and making actual EVENTS.

GBP...the only good thing about Top Rank is that they groom their fighters better. But so far every big card GBP promotes has a solid undercard, while Top Rank cards are snoozers having people die of boredom!

Golden Boy has floyd and ODH thats all. They have no clue how to properly build young fighters nor do they know how to properly match fighters. I hate Bob, but he has been doing this successfully for 40 years. Same for Don.Yes GBP is in bed with HBO, thats why their cards stink. They get paid and get dates no matter how crappy the last fights performed. IMO, if GBP hired Kathy Duva (who knows THIS business) or merged with Main Events and let her run things they would pass Top Rank in 3 yrs.

Forget promoting, Top Rank make better fights and has the better fighters.
