As stated above, Rocky did look drained in the Burns fight and he seemed to tire out rather easily.
It is true, Cotto(Cruz's promotor) said it himself, that he wanted Rocky for "El Artesanos" next fight before the end of the year..According to Cotto, he said that Cruz has the skills to beat Rocky..

Cotto did say that but every article I remember reading in primera hora, el nuevo dia etc before the Burns fight I'm pretty sure that Cruz stated that if that's the way to win the title he was down but that he needed a couple more fights to be ready. He also said that he preferred it not be against a fellow PRican but, again, that if the path to the belt was through Rocky then so be it. We'll leave it at that since its just a minor issue, I just don't think that its fair if people call out Cruz for "backing down" if he decides to pass for now because he seems to have always stated that he was still developing and might need some more time. That's all.

if martinez says that cruz talked a lot then cruz needs to keep his mouth shut if he's not going to back it up

Mixing apples with oranges: I said he looked, I didn't say he said he felt. Different things.

Whether you believe me or not, I thought as much soon as the fight started, though to be completely honest I still believed that Rocky would win. It's not an excuse. He lost fair and square. No problem there. My point is simply that he looked drained and seemed to tire out more than usual and, in response to another comment, I was implicitly agreeing with the opinion that he should perhaps move up to 135 rather than remain at 130. People say a lot of things, I'm just stating what my eyes saw.

Ok, I didn't get to see that article, but it makes sense..In My opinion, I think Cruz should make a couple of more fights against better quality opposition before stepping up & fighting Rocky or some other fighter at that level..Cause like I said before, Cruz has shown better boxing skills & has way more defensive skills than Rocky(who practically has no defense) but it has all been against softer opposition, compared to the quality of fighters that Rocky has faced..
