I know absolutely nothing at all about hockey, so I wouldnt even know what to ask you, lol.
Tommy Morrison wasnt the most well known boxer around, although I am surprised you never saw him got KOed by Mercer. thats a pretty well known video, but I recommend the knockout, its pretty brutal.

Theres a lot of cameos and stuff in the Rocky movies. I think they tried to have Joe Frazier or Norton or someone play Clubber Lang, but it was a little too intense in the sparring or something.

James Toney actually played Joe Frazier pretty well in Ali. not necessarily a perfect likeness, but he made a good character.

nah that was 'Rocky Balboa', or the 6th one.
Rocky 5 was the one with Tommy Gunn in it.

the 6th was OK, you could tell they knew that it was a pretty farfetched idea, although then you look at someone like Foreman who became champ at 45...I have no doubt that was Stallone's inspiration for the movie.

If you watch the behind the scenes stuff, Stallone really did his best in that last movie. I think they actually filmed the fight in the middle of Hopkins-Taylor II, or maybe I...some Hopkins fight. The fake one was probably more entertaining than the title match, lol. and Stallone is actually getting hit...obviously not full power but they actually touch with the punches, they just hold them back at the last second.

but anyways yea it was a little farfetched, but they tried to play it off of because Dixon or Tarver or whatever broke his hand early and plus was out of shape for the fight and so on. it was passably believable, at least in respect to the rest of the films.

yea Ali wasnt the best movie. not enough training and fighting. Honestly, thats mostly why I watch boxing movies...its just fun stuff, Im not always expecting to be blown away by an amazingly deep story. I just want a fun time.

Million Dollar Baby is another story though. that might be my favorite boxing movie.
incidently, Lucia Rijker played one of the evil titleholders in the movie, and she was a female boxing champ at one time.
