sometimes the FANS write checks their favorite fighter can't CASH, I am sure Cotto fans still believe that he can beat Mayweather but even in his PRIME I never thought Cotto matched up well with Mayweather, Mayweather is too quick for Cotto, Mayweather would put on a Boxing Clinic against Cotto...Past Or Present!

An embarassing lopsided loss would damage his ability to make future earnings. Look at Mosley. It wasn't that he lost it was how he did. Unless you are coming up in weight (like JMM or Hatton) its not profitable to get beaten badly by someone smaller/lighter in weight than yourself.

Besides, floyd's legal problems aside, he can make good money fighting lesser fighters like JCCjr or the winner of Mar/Pac. When yuri gets healthy that is a sellable rematch (in NYC).

Judt doesn't make sense for Cotto to do that right now.
