I honestly think thats the best fight for Cotto at the moment money wise.. He shouldnt get a Pac rematch and we all know Floyd wont fight him even though Floyd would most likely win.. The only biggest money fight would be Margs.. But I wouldnt blame Cotto if he keeps by his stance of not giving Margs a payday from his name..
cotto is no more somebody TR will push around

I must have not payed attention cuz i wasn't aware that was happening. Yuri was a decent fight for a comeback fight and cotto won a freakin belt months after getting his ass whooped. If anything cotto's career has been managed brilliantly. I mean compare to other fighthers who can't secure mega fights. With cotto it feels like he is in position to be in a mega fight every time.****.. Yes.. They were hyping Yuri up like he was on a elite level of Pac or May... All the media attention Yuri grabbed.... Cotto didnt get nearly the exposure for that fight that he should have gotten.. Good thing he was already a big name.. I didnt think Yuri was anything to be excited about honestly.. he stunk up the joint againts Santos in the PAC/COTTO unddercard.. Arum looked pissed once Cotto took out Yuri.. Then after Bob wants to put him up againts JCC jr. or Vanes.. Uncle Bob is looking for his next cash cow after the Manny era.. and if he has to find him at Cotto's expense please believe he will..Comment

This pretty much sums it all up.arum was setting him up to be #1 tbh.
people forget , marg-cotto was suppose to be a cotto win.
after he beat marg and unified he was suppose to fight oscar.
when cotto lost that's when pac-delahoya got made.
i don't see the stepping stone thing. only way foreman beats cotto is if cotto was really shot. if anything uncle bob set cotto up to get another title so soon after getting waxed.
chavez jr. would have been beatable for cotto. plus it would have been $$$$$$$.
If Cotto would've beaten Margarito, he would've gotten a shot at De La Hoya, toy with and destroy De La Hoya's skeleton, and be where Pacquiao's at right now. Staring at the face of the richest fight ever against Mayweather.Comment

Nope Cotto said he wanted to fight Marg but since May didn't fight Pac, Pac was left without an opponent a winnable, stay busy opponent so Arum put Marg vs Pac and now Cotto will rest until 2011I honestly think thats the best fight for Cotto at the moment money wise.. i think delahoya could have put up a better fight against cotto.
1. delahoya wouldn't go on the ****** kangaroo diet to prove he's not bigger than pacquiao
2. cotto doesn't move as fast as pacquiao , giving oscar his chances
3. cotto isn't a southpaw
4. maybe it'll be at 150 , more comfortable weight for delahoya?Comment

I never argued he wasnt managed brilliantly.. Im just making the point that he is a big name thats being used as a stepping stone... Yuri was a good fight for Cotto, not too hard on him and a title shot.. Many people, even on this site were picking Foreman to win because his STYLE is better for Cotto.. Its just like Rabbit said.. Its a win - win for Arum..I must have not payed attention cuz i wasn't aware that was happening. Yuri was a decent fight for a comeback fight and cotto won a freakin belt months after getting his ass whooped. If anything cotto's career has been managed brilliantly. If you missed all the media attention then you were under a rock buddy.. His own ESPN segment.. Late night shows.. Newspapers.. All sorts of personal appearances.. He had a lot of play before the fight bro..Comment

Arum did get Cotto to a level where his talent said he shouldn't be. But Arum also was ****ed up for pressing Cotto and basically making Cotto agree to fight Manny and put his title on the line for a fight at 145. Also IMO Arum should have stayed out of the Cotto & Margarito back and forth about the wraps in that fight.
Stuff like that is why in-house promotional fights are not really that good for boxing. The promoter's job is to get his fighter all the advantages and money they can get. When you have a in-house fight the promoter can only do those things for 1 of his 2 fighters and that creates a conflict because the promoter is not doing the job they were contracted to do for 1 of the fighters.Comment
